California St.; San Francisco

The drama of this classic view looking up California Street in San Francisco caught my attention with the iconic cable car about to set off up the hill completing the scene beautifully. Cable cars were introduced to San Francisco in 1873 in response to accidents caused by horse drawn carts failing to manage the many steep hills.
