Because of the embargo and the shortage of petrol, the Cuban government prohibited the sale of vehicles to private citizens. Consequently American cars from the 40s and 50s have been kept running largely thanks to the ingenuity of their owners. Spare parts are not avaliable and so every day household items are often converted and put to use under the bonnet. I have grouped these three colourful classics as a triage as seen here although they are also available individually.
