"Buildings touch our lives and shape our environment whether they are the grand monuments for which our cities are famous or whether they are the shops and dwellings that form the character of an area."

Alastair's background as an architect gives him a unique perspective as a travel artist. He is able to bring together a detailed study of the building he selects with the surrounding elements, be it people, water, trees, or even washing. The results are stunning compositions rich in colour and texture which instantly capture the subject and its setting.

As one of the UK's leading architectural artists, Alastair's work has found recognition through publication in the national press including Architectural Review, Country Living and The Sunday Express. He has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad and his work is retailed at Fired Earth, Kew Gardens and the V&A museum in London.
